Business Group on Health’s Member Experience team is hiring a Marketing Manager to support the growth, engagement and retention of our membership. This person will have experience in marketing and communications, as well as using analytics and strategy to drive success. The Manager will help in the development and execution of the organization-wide marketing strategy and related campaigns; as well as managing our communication channels, the website and social media. The Manager works across the Business Group and reports to the Vice President of Member Experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is excited to apply their skills and expertise, leveraging sound business practices to successfully deliver results.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of a marketing and communications strategy that will help support the growth and engagement efforts of the Member Experience team.

Responsible for developing marketing copy for emails, website and social media, as well as other communication channels, as appropriate.

Assist in the refinement of current and prospective member marketing materials, including developing key messages that will resonate with various levels within a member company.

Design, manage and execute segmented email marketing campaigns using Act-On.

Maintains and manages website, regularly reviewing web content, links and design. Part of team responsible for problem solving website problems.

Works with third party vendors for the CMS, email automation platform, and others as assigned.

Acts as point person with staff regarding upcoming marketing and communications, including ensuring staff are informed of campaign status, scope, and timeline.

Gathers and analyzes web traffic and marketing campaigns’ performance. Prepares reports to assist in making informed decisions on future marketing strategy and campaigns. Keeps organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns.

Responsible for staying abreast of marketing trends and presenting new ideas to VP of Member Experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Preferred fields of study and/or professional experience include Communications, Marketing, Web Development, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in marketing or a related position.

Working knowledge of successful integration between content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management software (CRM), email automation programs and event registration platforms.

Experience in web design, development and optimization (SEO and SEM).

Experience using analytics and strategy to drive marketing and communication success.

Fluency with markup and programming languages including HTML and XML, Java, and CSS.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, other related software, and marketing technology apps such as web analytics and Google AdWords.

Familiarity with topics such as benefits, well-being and health care is a strong plus.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
