The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Current students who are scheduled to graduate within nine months may also apply to these positions. However, these students cannot be appointed until after graduation and the official degree has been awarded and conferred.
Responsibilities listed at the GS7.
Performs a variety of basic IT tasks.
Performs basic troubleshooting of networks, web pages, work stations, or personal computers under close direction of more senior IT staff.
Leads by example in defining a customer service culture to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and civility.
Ensures that whenever possible, the CIO staff cultivates partnerships with customers in developing solutions to meet their needs.
Proactively develops partnerships with key stakeholders, other agencies, and USDA to provide the best value in the services and solutions developed and offered by the CIO.
Work as a trainee obtaining and providing information to perform well defined tasks designed to provide a foundation for more responsibility.
Performs a variety of developmental basic/conventional IT tasks.
Collecting specific information from reference sources, software utilities, or customers.
