Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Finance Manager is a key management position with responsibility over a full range of financial responsibilities including but not limited to fiscal management, billing, oversight of payroll, vendor/provider payments, financial reporting, grant management, forecasting and budgets. This position includes limited HR responsibilities such as benefits management and L&I Claims.
This is a full-time position on the north end of Camano Island. Annual salary range is $93,857 to $103,600 based on qualifications and includes a generous benefit package.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a graduate from an accredited high school or have a GED equivalency. A background in Finance/Human Resources with three years of experience required.
Ability to use a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Requires thorough knowledge of English, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation.
Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the department’s insurance carrier.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age at time of application.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a valid working permit.
Submission to a thorough employment reference check as well as a law enforcement background check.
Must not have had any felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with major course work in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, and or human resources or a related field. Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job will be considered.
Five years of experience in government finance and administration preferred.
