Description
First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs is seeking a full-time Missions Director or Pastor. We are open to a person in a non ordained role, a person who is moving toward ordination in our ECO denomination, or a person who is ordained or can become ordained in ECO. First Pres is a vibrant and growing congregation in downtown Colorado Springs with a rich 150 year history of Christ-centered ministry and mission engagement.
Our congregation is 3,000+ strong, currently with seven full-time pastors and several other non-ordained ministry Directors and related staff. We are committed to God's call to be Light and Life for the City in downtown Colorado Springs, and to find innovated ways to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to build a ministry that is transformational, missional, and holistic. The pastor/director of Missions will provide visionary leadership for First Pres' mission engagement initiatives, both locally and globally, and will supervise the Assistant Missions Director in their ministries. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our leadership team, be engaged in the life of First Pres, assist in worship occasionally, possibly preach occasionally if gifted to do so, and serve as the primary liaison with the mission partners for First Pres.
