The Human Resources Department: The Human Resources department serves a critical link between the company's strategic people programs and business operations. The HR team partners with all managers and employees in the company to provide solutions and resources for a productive and engaging environment. A major function of the HR team is to partner with managers on hiring top notch candidates in a timely manner. The Career Opportunity: The HR Manager is integral to the achievement of corporate metrics by helping managers and employees meet their operational goals. The HR Manager is responsible for managing and administering human resource policies, procedures, and programs, paired with supporting leadership and employees. The Human Resources Manager will provide subject matter expertise, partnership, and implementation support in areas of HR that include managing the following on a day-to-day basis: human resource administration, compliance, employment changes/onboarding/offboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, LOAs, employee relations, payroll, and managing the HRIS system. Please note this is not a people management role The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of HR operations and laws. They should also have proven experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Areas of Accountability: The responsibilities of the HR Manager are as follows. Manage key HR daily functions, including recruiting/onboarding/offboarding, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, diversity, personnel records, and compliance. Establish trusted partnerships across the franchise by acting as a strategic and operational partner on all employee related functions including but not limited to performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning. Analyze, develop, and implement Human Resources policies and procedures that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital. Oversee and manage a performance management program to drive high performance. Oversee and manage the learning and development initiative for leaders and employees by conducting needs analysis and developing and facilitating programs. Manage complex and sensitive employment and employee relations issues. Conduct investigations regarding discipline and complaints, prepares reports with findings, and consults with department managers as needed. Analyze organizational structures, responsibilities, reporting relationships and work processes to increase organizational effectiveness. Use change management strategies to guide the organization through transitions in structure, processes, or systems, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. Contribute to HR team efforts to capture and share standards, best practices, external benchmarking, and innovative practices related to culture, change management, team effectiveness, strategy operationalization, organization design, and organization diagnosis. Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, best practices in HR, talent management and employment laws. Competencies for Success A bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field. 5 years progressive HR experience (Manager level experience preferred) Very high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising quality. Ability to develop relationships with all levels of the organization (executive to front line) and be seen as a go to person for HR assistance. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, and policies. Experience coaching employees and managers, mediating discussions, and creating performance driven culture. Comfortable analyzing human capital metrics to identify trends and recommend strategic programs. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software Demonstrates sound judgement and ability to apply depth of knowledge in solving complex business challenges. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Expert at triage - frequently switching between analytical and creative thinking, and project managing against multiple deadlines. Customer service minded: the ability to communicate consistently and clearly, respond with empathy and professionalism, and manage expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $49,450-$100,000for this position.
