About the Role:

Planet is seeking a Corporate Securities Counsel to join our Legal team, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Legal. This role will advise on U.S. corporate and securities matters, which include: public company reporting, governance matters, subsidiary and legal entity management, strategic transactional support, and other corporate projects and challenges.

Additional areas of responsibility include shareholder meeting proposals and board committee support. This role will partner with Planet's finance, accounting, investor relations, and communications teams on external disclosures such as earnings releases and press releases. The Corporate Securities Counsel will also administer Planet's insider trading policy and 10b5-1 plans.

What You Bring:

Law degree with excellent credentials

4+ years of experience as an attorney; one State bar required

Energetic and creative problem-solver with superior interpersonal and project management skills

Ability to build consensus for decisions and quickly drive to effective resolution

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Accountability, integrity and willingness to take ownership over projects and responsibilities

Proven ability in managing competing requests with quality in all work completed

Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a proven ability to tackle unique challenges presented by its dynamic conditions

Experience working as part of a team to progress team initiatives

Adaptability with a proven ability to express and communicate with a variety of individuals at all levels of the organization

Proven leadership and customer-service focus in building relationships

Sound business judgment and proven ability to regulate priorities based on business objectives

Significant corporate and securities law experience, with a deep understanding of applicable SEC rules and governance structures

What Makes You Stand Out:

4+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment working on securities and corporate matters

Preference for experience at a high tech company with DaaS (data as a service) model

Knowledge and interest in agile aerospace

Mix of law firm and in-house experience

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $182,900 - $228,600 . Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
