Manager, Design This role is a combination of people management and design work. As a team leader, you will be responsible for building and growing a team of designers and the product experience. You will work with our customers, engineers, and product management to determine design requirements, create mockups, user workflows, do user research, and provide feedback to constantly improve our product experiences. You should be able to lead a project from early definition and research phases, through ideation and design, and through testing, development, and measurement.

Job Responsibilities Leads collaborations with product, engineering, and business teams to define and craft design solutions that address customer and business needs. Translates complex ideas into understandable concepts that evolve and enhance the product experience. Manages through shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and support early product definition. Advocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research sessions, and user testing. Facilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs. Drives end-to-end product design by framing problems, designing insights, and designing new methodologies/practices to serve customer needs. Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models. Delivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering. Teach, mentor and guide designers. Prepares and manages department business plans, staffing projections and budgets.

Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with User Experience design 1+ years leading and mentoring design teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing for internal platforms, tools, and products Experience in enhancing the associate experience and satisfaction metrics is a plus Experience designing for cross channel experiences Effective communication and storytelling skills Proficiency with design tools (i.e., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams Familiarity with working in an established design system Familiarity with content strategy is a plus Experience in crafting complex service blueprints with cross-functional partners Experience developing requirements for WorkDay customizations

Annual Salary $118,000.00 - $207,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
