What Will You Be Doing?
The Technical Business Analyst I works proactively with business units, technology partners and development teams to create and maintain technical solutions for commercial, operational control and back office functions. The analyst may also need to provide project management for solutions with limited scope, and reports project status to project managers and managers. The analyst will analyze business process technical design and use analytical skills to help develop best practices as well as design future improvements to systems. The analyst must possess strong technical skills to be able to coordinate with Infrastructure on system administration. Is required to be a motivated self-starter, with good project documentation and communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft productivity tools. The analyst has the ability to train and assist Support Services and users on solutions as well as existing and new technologies.
Essential Functions
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) by learning the business user functions, software platforms, organization, and role in the enterprise as well as industry best practices.
Analyze, identify, and document through either Change Requests or New Project forms the specifications for solution development and/or software enhancement.
Assist with documentation for testing, implementation and support for business solutions, application, and infrastructure and/or software enhancement.
Perform necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility.
Utilize analytics such as Six Sigma to assist organization in achieving goals of reducing costs, improving efficiencies, and increasing revenues.
Complete daily, weekly, monthly reports.
Work with the assigned department on business and technical integration.
Process new software releases and/or patches and documentation for Configuration Management, Infrastructure and Support Services.
Partner with PjM and company stakeholders on assigned projects.
Perform regular application, systems, and data administration tasks, monitor results, and resolve discrepancies in applications program.
Document SOC, PCI, PII, DOT and FAA compliance, as applicable, to all projects.
Other duties dependent on department needs.
Other Functions
This position will report into the Program Management Office (PMO) and from time to time there may be a need to fill the role of a Project Manager along with Business Analyst.
Project Manager support can include creation/maintenance of integrated project plans, track, and report status, identify resource constraints, adhere to best practices of project management within IT, coordinate external vendor and organizational interfaces
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related major; combination of relevant education and technical business analyst experience considered in lieu of degree
1-2 years of related experience in addition to a college degree, is a plus
