Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Maintenance Technician to join our existing Projects team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division based in Vitoria, Spain . The successful candidate will provide on and off-site support to the Aftermarket Service Team for all aspects of the bidding process from quotation through to completion of the purchase contract.
A degree of domestic and international travel will be required to fulfil the obligations of the role, therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is essential.
Previous experience gained in an Air Filtration business would be a major advantage for this role.
Position Responsibilities:
The Field Service Maintenance Technician will locate and actively supervise, support and manage mechanical and electrical sub-contract labour to ensure timely execution of the installation project and ensure all site safety procedures are adhered to. They will also control multiple project activities simultaneously, working to tight time deadlines and operate efficiently under pressure.
Provide on-site commissioning services to ensure that products and system start up and operate correctly and to specification.
Provide technical instruction to field service representatives regarding the installation, operation, commissioning repair and maintenance of equipment at customer installations.
Safe delivery of start-up, commissioning, and pre-operations activities to the required level of quality in line with the processes.
Attend client site and meetings to ensure the mechanical installation, co-ordination and planning of the work is in line with the client’s expectations. This includes making dimensional and conditional checks.
Ensure AAF site safety procedures and environmental codes of practice are enforced throughout the installation activities.
Management and coordination of site documentation.
Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications and Affiliations
Essential
Engineering Apprenticeship within an engineering discipline.
Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Desirable
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Industry Standard Certificates: First Aid, NEBOSH and IOSH.
*Completed qualifications from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis
Experience
Essential
Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Experience of start-up and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience of managing material and labour on site.
H&S experience with site inductions, permit systems, risk assessments and method statements.
Experience of troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
Experience in attending and leading engineering meetings with clients.
Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of the job.
Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages.
Desirable
Previous experience gained within the industry i.e. O&G, Energy and Power Generation.
Licenses or Certifications Essential
Eligible to work in Spain.
Full valid passport.
Full driving license.
