We do thisthrough personalized Employment Services, Social Enterprises (BusinessSolutions) which provide employment for those needing supportedemployment, and Individual and Community Services like providing freelaundry with the Laundry Truck and support in finding housing and accessingdifferent resource programs through the help of our Navigators. We createHope, help to find Opportunities, and inspire Choices.DEPARTMENTBayaud Enterprises partners with Jefferson County to conduct outreach andrecruitment for a job readiness, employment, and training (JET) forindividuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or affected by COVIDthat are not currently engaged in other community programs. The overallpurpose of this program is to provide paid Day Work Experiences, supportservices and job readiness and up skilling that may lead to employment in thecSUMMARYJET program engages in routine seasonal labor and maintenance of JeffersonCounty parks and creek beds and other city/private sites to includemaintaining flower beds, weeding, removing trash, cleaning facilities,removing graffiti, painting, irrigation and working with the public. TheSite Lead is an integral part of the program who will focus on facilitatingwork crews on site, ensuring the completion of work on job sites, managingcrisis interventions if needed, and connecting participants to properreferrals as needed. The Site Lead position will oversee all job siteactivities; ensuring that participant workers are trained appropriately fortheir site (ie. personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics,PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.). This position ensuresthat the logistics of the sites are managed (transportation, food,equipment). The Site Lead drives the van and is responsible for keeping itclean and disinfected after each workday and assists with daily payout.Work is performed under general supervision of Bayaud's Site Coordinator,and in coordination with the Intake Coordinator, Clinical EmploymentSpecialists and Case Manager.Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIESEngage and safely facilitate a small work crew (up to 6 people) ofunhoused population in Jefferson County daily outside work: weeding,picking up trash, removing graffiti, trimming branches, etc.Develop a good rapport with of unhoused population and understand theirhurdles to employment, caused by or exacerbated by personal experiences ofpoverty and homelessness.Provide positive rehabilitation supports and mentorship to of unhousedpopulation who may also experience significant disabilities.Establish and maintain positive relationships and coordination with staff fromJefferson County departments to identify locations to work and possibleindividuals to outreach.To ensure tasks can be completed.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Drive the company vehicle daily to and from meeting area to the work site.Clean and disinfect the vehicle and work tools daily after each workday.Assist in on-boarding participants in preparation to work.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline workprocesses, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customerservice.Provide mentorship, advocacy, and rehabilitation support of unhousedpopulation.Provide excellent customer service to our participants, business partnersand County partners.Observe, compare, or monitor data, objects, and people's behavior todetermine compliance with prescribed safety and operating standards, andmake decisions about their ability to participate in certain activities orwhether they need additional training.Add data entry in a timely manner.
