WHO ARE WE
The Tech Team builds the systems and apps that communicate with our customers, warehouses, customer service, payment providers, and more. In short, we create and manage the systems that keep the business running and, more importantly, make dogs happy. We work collaboratively (no such thing as a dumb question) and scientifically (test and measure whenever we can), while taking the work--but not ourselves--too seriously. We generally work on squads of engineers, product designers, data analysts, QA and product management. We also work closely with stakeholders throughout the company to get things done. We see technology as a means to an end; we love solving problems and making the most of our time!

KEY DUTIES
Leadership:
You are someone who people want to work with. It's not only that you have great ideas, it's that you make other people better too.
Oversee critical developments within Netsuite, while offering mentorship and guidance to the rest of the development team
Product Focus:
Participate in the ideation and planning of features to set the team up for success. We build to deploy.
Identify key gaps in processes and propose developments that would address those gaps
Support existing and forthcoming software connected to NetSuite including FP&A tools, PLM and Ezcom Lingo
Technical :
Build solid Suite Scripts and evaluate the existing scripts to ensure optimization.
Create and support creation of TDD for key projects
Assist and guide other developers in documentation of existing script deployments
Feature Delivery :
Write well-designed, testable and reliable code as you ship features that make dogs happy (and your coworkers too).
Code Quality :
Maintain a highly responsive system by ensuring code quality, stability and scalability. You are pragmatic not dogmatic.
Partner with functional leads and management to ensure that code is deployed with proper compliance checks in mind
Must Love Dogs
EXPERIENCE
You have at least 5 years or more experience in Netsuite, with focus on Suite Scripting and script deployments, map-reduce scripts, as well as advanced saved-searches
You have experience in API/SOAP/Web Services integrations
You have delivered and maintained production software in a team environment.
You have experience in a dev-ops environment and familiar with deployment of code out of secure repositories.
You care about delivering a good customer experience and align your code to that.
You are comfortable with diving in to understand and build on an existing codebase.
You value your own time and others’ and find solutions to optimize it.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience & Leadership : You are a thoughtful, talented engineer who has good experience facilitating the work of their colleagues and reports.
You have :
5+ years of hands on engineering experience
1+ year of working as a lead developer or similar role, with a focus on time management and ability to delegate tasks
Goal Driven : You align yourself with the strategic goals of the company, as well as team goals, with a focus on ensuring success
Humility : You're humble, self-aware, and always give credit where it is due
Communication skills : You are a strong, transparent communicator, and have worked in a matrixed product organization. You are ready to work closely with developers, as well as functional and technical support teams. You are able to communicate goals clearly to your team and stakeholders.
