The Herff Jones Corporate Finance Team is looking for an AR & Financial Services Manager to join our HJ Family.

Here’s How You’ll Make Impact:

As the AR & Financial Services Manager, on the Shared Services Team, the Manager will oversee the cash application, merchant services and direct billed & college credit & collections team member.

What We Want You To Accomplish:

Provide daily supervision and support to the cash application, merchant services and collection teams.

Acts as subject matter expert and lease problem solving for the cash application, merchant services and collection teams.

Manage the accurate and complete application of customer payments received in multiple bank accounts.

Responsible for managing the timely collection of direct billed and college funds, knowing when and how to escalate timely and effectively.

Monitors the team’s workload and assists where needed.

Manage and develop staff, hiring, training, and make personnel recommendations.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and call out risks.

Ensure proper AR reconciliation for month end close.

Recommend reserves for the Allowance for Doubtful accounts.

Review all journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the team.

Assists with year end audit requests as needed.

Ad hoc requests/reporting based on the needs management.

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable

Prior managerial experience in Accounts Receivable preferred.

Establish strong relationships with customers and work collaboratively cross-functionally.

Strong attention to detail.

History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

Possess an elevated level of integrity. Communicate directly and truthfully, with strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.

Demonstrate an elevated level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to think creatively, innovatively, and strategically in making recommendations to management.

Education / Certifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Physical Activities:

Daily activity includes but is not limited to:

Lifting, carrying, sitting, fingering, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, and walking long distances.

Reading, communication, basic math.

Be able to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above.
