The Boeing Company is currently seeking an **Environmental, Health & Safety Manager** to join the team in **New Orleans, LA** .

This position provides leadership to the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) EHS teams.

**Position Responsibilities:**

* Handles Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) function for all Boeing operations at NASAs Michoud Assembly Facility and Kennedy Space Center

* Leads 2 EHS teams (MAF and KSC)

* Works with key partners to facilitate risk management decisions

* Develops and maintains good relationships with clients, collaborators, peers, associates and direct reports

* Identifies, interprets, and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company Space Launch System operations and process

* Lead teams through audits, inspections and investigations and coordinate resolutions of issues in all EHS areas of the Space Launch System program

* Develop corrective action plans to respond to and resolve internal/external audits, inspections, incidents, and identified hazards

* Lead all aspects of the review site work instructions, standard operating procedures, policies and procedures, for sufficient hazard mitigation and safety information

* Handles and integrates employee activities across more than one environmental, occupational, health and safety subject area

* Activities led include the planning and implementation of environmental, occupational, health and safety programs/processes, environmental property assessment and remediation, chemical analysis, evaluation of chemical processing activities and/or related support functions

* Develops and performs project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

* Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

* Develops and handles relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports

* Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

* Manages, develops and motivates employees

**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options**.

**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

**Basic Qualifications** **(Required Skills/Experience):**

* Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)

* 5+ years of experience in leading informal and/or formal teams

* 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

* Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
