OPPORTUNITY
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for full cycle accounting for the company and will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a self-starter and has a strong working knowledge of US GAAP. The company is growing, and you can grow with it! If you’re looking for upward mobility and opportunity for advancement, this role has strong potential to evolve into a Controller position in the near future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
Maintaining general ledger accounts and processes in Sage Intacct and ViewPoint
Managing month end close
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
Researching accounting issues for compliance
Coordinating the accounting integration of acquired companies
Identifying the need for and hiring new accounting staff
Supervising and supporting the senior accountant and AP manager
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5 years’ experience in industry with increasing levels of responsibility
2 years’ supervisory experience
CPA preferred but not required
Experience playing a significant role in a system implementation or integration
Experience using Sage Intacct or ViewPoint is highly preferred but not required
Acquisition integration, experience writing technical accounting memos and experience with FloQast are not required but very beneficial
