This position is open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Under supervision, performs paraprofessional accounting and auditing duties; and performs related duties as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Audits vouchers submitted for reimbursement by examining contracts, budgets, and other documents to determine if costs are allowable.
* Calculates totals and determines the appropriateness of supporting documentation.
* Provides technical assistance on the preparation of documents for reimbursement to contractors, subcontractors or other agencies.
* Interprets contract provisions in order to identify allowable and non-allowable expenditures.
* Resolved problems regarding budget limitations, allocations, or modifications and prepares necessary documentation.
* Approves delegate agency vouchers for payment.

Hours : 9:00am - 5:00pm

* Proficient with accounting software, data management software and Oracle based applications
