Senior Property Accountant (In-Person, Hybrid)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
At least two years of experience in a real estate accounting position
Experience with treasury management and banking relationships
Knowledge of GAAP
Leadership and management skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Responsibilities The Senior Property Accountant will perform special accounting projects, and eventually lead the financial accounting and reporting for institutional clients
They will also work closely with the accounting staff, Controller and VP of Finance, and will have varied responsibilities within the accounting department
Promote and continuously reinforce the Atlas Culture and Values:
Lead special projects including auditing and cleaning up ledgers and accounts
Manage month-end close and preparation of financial reports for an institutional client
Prepare monthly management fees, owner distributions, and owner reporting
Monitor payment of HOAs, utilities and property taxes
Preparation of journal entries
Communicate with owners and asset managers regarding accounting questions
Manage bank account and GL reconciliations
Analyze processes for efficiency improvements
Manage Section-8 income accounting
Assist with weekly invoice allocation and review
Assist with the close-out client properties that have been sold or are no longer managed
Assist with year-end 1099 reporting
Monitor new leases and renewals
Assist accounts receivable/payable as needed
Review owner contributions, distribution holdback adjustments, and escrow reserves
Monthly review of financial diagnostics in Appfolio
$75,000-$110,000 annual base salary
Annual 10% - 20% Performance Based Bonus
