**Description**
**Scope:**
The Warehouse Manager is a critical piece in developing a team culture focused on engagement, employee development, and operational execution. This role will be responsible for achieving the goals set for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (including Inventory and Productivity).
The Warehouse Manager is part of the Operations Team reporting to the VP, Operations, and is responsible for utilizing available resources of personnel, equipment, materials, and time to receive inventory, issue/receive jobs, and ship sales orders to customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The ideal candidate for this position will work well independently and within a team. They should be well organized and have a strong attention to detail. Must possess the ability to handle multiple competing demands while ensuring deadlines are met will be required for success in this position.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
* Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by recruiting, supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
* Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
* Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
* Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
* Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
* Utilize Lean/6Sigma tools and leadership techniques to lead change.
* Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees through positive employee relations and compliance with labor law regulations. Assist with the hiring, reviewing performance and discipline of personnel.
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with federal, state and local safety and legal regulations
**Skills and Qualifications**
* Bachelors degree or equivalent; preferred field of study in engineering, supply chain management or logistics
* 5+ years experience in a warehouse manager role managing hourly employees
* Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
* Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
* Ability to work with all levels of the organization
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Proficiency with ERP systems for warehouse management
* Lean/6Sigma certification(s)/training
