Postdoctoral Scholar - Physiology

Postdoctoral position immediately available to study pathophysiological retinal angiogenesis using both cell culture and animal models. The project includes studying retinal microvascular endothelial cell proliferation, migration, sprouting, tube formation and hypoxia-induced retinal neovascularization. Approaches include the extensive use of cell-specific knockout mouse models, oxygen-induced retinopathy, molecular and biochemical techniques, immunofluorescence staining and confocal/fluorescence microscopy. Lab members receive in-depth mentoring and training to pursue their career goals.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a PhD or MD in biomedical, biochemical or a related field.
Experience with pathological and developmental retinal angiogenesis and molecular biology preferred.
