Role and Responsibilities
Develop and manage budgets for both food services and special events.
Collaborate with ministry areas to coordinate food services and special event needs.
Work with external caterers to secure competitive pricing and facilitate ministry events.
Serve as the primary contact for external groups wanting to rent our facility.
Bill all ministry areas for their events each month to reimburse kitchen expenses.
Ensure food quality and quantities for meals including Wednesday lunch and dinner.
Work with ministry teams to secure & direct volunteers for ministry events when needed.
Manage & maintain kitchen equipment, pantries & supplies.
Collaborate with properties and services team to coordinate needs for events.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in hospitality management or a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate volunteers, work collaboratively with multiple teams and foster a positive and supportive team environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including familiarity with food safety standards and health codes.
Basic proficiency in computer use for tasks such as budget tracking, email communication and event planning.
Sound written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner.
Preferred but not required:
Bi-lingual – Spanish and English speaker.
