Overview
NVA is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate FP&A, the candidate will be responsible for reporting, planning and analysis in support of the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
Assist with company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with the FP&A teams supporting NVA’s business lines.
Design/build new reports, tools, consolidation templates, and dashboards that are scalable and help resolve multiple business concerns.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis; identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Run and distribute monthly reports for company-wide audience.
Collaborate with business line FP&A teams and with Accounting on various projects and analysis.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Primary Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics required
1-2+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Expertise in MS Excel (Index-Match, Sum-If, Indirect, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), proven experience manipulating large sets of data efficiently
Expert at Analysis: Shows strong history of analyzing data to propose changes which drives positive financial results
Understanding of financial reporting & accounting principles
Strong interpersonal skills, including oral & written communication skills
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
1-2+ years of FP&A experience (Veterinary or Retail industry is a plus)
Experience in budgeting, long-range planning, financial analysis & reporting
Oracle Suite (OACS, Smartview, Essbase)
Some technical skills (Visual Basic, SQL, Board BI or other programming experience) is a plus
Compensation for this role would range from $70-80,000, plus benefits
