Job Overview: This role reports to the Chief Information Office and is responsible for IT security and IT systems management. This role is the lead person for our company IT Systems and has planning, project management, and operational aspects. This is a hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure all company systems (including customer data) are secured at better than industry standards. We are a small company with big company IT security standards
Sustain our ISO27001 Certification—planning and audits
Manage our SIEM system
Manage IT security incident response
Manage security trainings and implement
Manage the security of our Microsoft O365 platform and our AWS systems—administration, implementation, and operations
Manage our corporate websites
Provide direction for reporting to the monthly IT Security Steering Committee comprising of company executives
Participation in Japan Headquarters Global IT Security Conference
Approve device purchase (laptops, cell phone, monitors, etc.), setup, and inventory control
Provide directions on system management and account administration (MS, AWS, Atlassian, Adobe, Google, FreshService, etc.) including payment approval
Manage IT Security personnel and IT Systems personnel
Manage help desk personnel
Manage office security systems
Optimize IT system: Planning/Bids/Evaluation/Analysis/Implementation/Operation
IT Project Management
Vendor selection contract review/negotiation
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or a technical field
5+ years’ experience in a technical area
3+ years’ experience in IT Security
Extensive experience with AWS cloud service
Extensive experience with Microsoft O365
Proven hands-on expertise in incident handling and management
Experience with IT System planning, implementation, and administration
Proficiencies with MS Entra (AD), Defender, Intune, Exchange, Teams, etc. admin portals
Proficiencies with MS Office tools (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
Proficiencies with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket)
Proficiencies with AWS infrastructure

Hybrid (Tues & Thurs in office)
Degree of Travel: 5%
Scope of Management: Total of direct reports: 2 to 3 (e.g. IT Security Manager, IT Systems Manager, and Help Desk Contractor)
Compensation: For California based hires:
Estimated annual salary range from $130,000 to $150,000
