We Require Two years of experience with program development and policy analysis
Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or English, data analytics, project management, process improvement, public administration/policy/relations, business/healthcare administration, or another closely related field
Post secondary education may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Our Preferred Candidate Has Process improvement, project management, and analytics experience
Professional-level experience in program development and technical writing/editing
Previous experience working with healthcare data, including knowledge of best practices in the correctional healthcare system
Job Contributions Simultaneously manages a wide variety of complex projects; meets projected milestones and deadlines
Researches current business processes and develops complex workflows/diagrams
Identifies trends for strategic planning, analyzes operational metrics, designs modifications, and uses technical writing skills to clearly convey information
Conducts “best practice” research and analysis of specified issues, identifies efficiencies, and provides high-level recommendations for improvement to leadership; and actively participates in the implementation of approved changes
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships for service delivery
Consults with the Executive Team and leads the revision process for Clinical and Administrative Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
Serves as the primary liaison responsible for maintaining the internal constellation of SharePoint sites and external departmental website
Develops operations manuals to clarify internal procedures and workflows for various divisions
Designs infographics and prepares professional one-page flyers for internal and external distribution.
Adheres to the County logo and brand; presents information in a logical and consistent manner; prepares comprehensive reports using clear, concise, and innovative ways to present data visually
Substantially contributes to the forthcoming annual report for the department
Completes other duties as assigned
Working Conditions Must be able to work inside a correctional facility
Able to sit and perform duties on a computer for long periods of time
Position requires limited travel to and from stakeholder locations in Maricopa County during the course of a scheduled work day, subject to County policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
Must successfully complete an MCSO-HR fingerprint/background check
