Viking Enterprise Solutions provides advanced data center products including solid-state memory and diskbased storage server appliances, JBOD storage systems and related products for a variety of data center and storage applications. Viking Enterprise Solutions products are tailored for integration into OEM, System Integrator and data center products.
We are looking for a talented Western Regional Business Development Manager - Channel Sales to drive and grow our channel revenue by working with distribution and channel partner sales and technical resources in the assigned territory.
Job Purpose
This role requires an experienced candidate who is self-motivated, a problem-solver, quick learner, is eager to grow and execute, collaborates well with various cross-functional teams and can build strong rapport within the channel partners, distributors as well as end-users. You will have a significant impact on the division’s revenue through channel partnership strategy and have the opportunity to benefit through our Sales Compensation Plan.
Nature Of Duties
Responsible for the day-to-day relationship management of channel partners
Act as a liaison between the Viking Enterprise Solutions and assigned channel partners.
Build, maintain, and manage relationships with current and prospective channel partners.
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
Coordinate the involvement of Viking Enterprise Solutions personnel, including support, service, and management resources in order to meet partner objectives and partners’ expectations.
Sell through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources.
Meet assigned targets for sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
Participate in a partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
Identifies partner GTM and services offerings; working with partner sales resources, services, marketing, etc. develop & launch offerings to point of incremental join revenue achievement
Submit reports pertaining to sales activity, potential sale opportunities and quarterly pipeline.
Submit accurate rolling forecasts looking out four quarters Provide feedback to product management regarding competitor pricing, markets trends and technology innovations in the field
Participate and assist with trade shows, conventions, customer functions and industry-wide items
Continually assess the ROI of all sales activities in the assigned region
Works with channel teams to complete the sales cycle
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that all client's requests are fulfilled
Education And Experience
BS/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
Ability to build strong client relationships to acquire new customers
Proven track record with channel sales success
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and energetic environment
Experience selling and providing solutions for numerous business and technical clients
Solid understanding of commercial transactions and sales business
Strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment
Server and storage market knowledge
Communication and negotiation skills
Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000
