Dotdash Media Inc. has an opening for a Senior QA Software Engineer, 2 in New York, NY.
The position duties are as follows: Help shape processes and define testing standards, navigating a variety of technical environments while testing functionality, compatibility, integration of web applications. Daily duties include:
Partner with development teams responsible for the core web framework that powers the websites for one of the largest and fastest-growing online publishers, employing deep knowledge on how to develop automated functional tests for Web applications.
Critique functional requirements and design choices and their impact on how applications behave in the production environment to millions of users.
Work with the QA managers in modifying STLC processes and maintain a high quality work product while accelerating delivery.
Produce status reports, prioritize bugs, and contribute to Sprint planning sessions.
Participate in daily cross-functional SCRUMs for projects running concurrently.
Deliver and manage deadlines in an agile development environment.
Automate complex head less applications and web applications using complex frameworks.
Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, a related technical field or foreign equivalent, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation where developing/scripting automated functional tests in Java was gained. Experience must include:
5 years of experience with an OOPs based programming language like Java/Javascript.
5 years of experience with developer tools like Chrome Dev/Firebug.
5 years of experience with modern AFT tools like Selenium Web Driver/Cypress etc.
3 years of experience with Test infrastructure orchestration like Selenium Grid, and UNIX commands and debugging skills in a remote execution capacity.
3 years of experience with deployment practices into Production environments and Jenkins pipelines, including Jenkins DSL to create and modify pipelines.
3 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS and modern web development technologies.
3 years of experience with software configuration management, release management and database manipulation and source code systems like git, bitbucket (or equivalent), Jenkins, etc.
3 years of experience with modern cloud-based development practices in AWS/GCP and container native technologies like docker.
Role permits full-time telecommuting. Must be available during normal business hours U.S. ET. Must be willing to travel to HQ in New York, NY 10 times per year for onsite meetings and visits.

Pay Range
Salary: $143,021 - $143,021 The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
