**What youll be doing...**
This position is accountable for driving the growth of the small to medium sized business market within the Region. Coach, develop and prepare a sales team to meet and exceed defined sales, retention, quality, and service objectives for consumer accounts and accounts in the consumer small to medium business segment. This position is responsible for providing the overall strategic direction for SMB across the Retail channel, including developing, growing and managing small business pillars to find niche opportunities to grow this segment within an assigned Region.
* Drive team to meet or exceed assigned SMB performance goals and metrics, service and revenue objectives through development and monitoring of sales goals.
* Accountable for achieving revenue targets, driving growth and promoting SMB products and services across channels.
* Responsible for ongoing ad-hoc SMB training initiatives across channels in support of new product launches to ensure sales channels have knowledge of SMB products and can effectively sell and demonstrate products and services, as provided by Workforce Development and Training Organization.
* Attend and participate in sales meetings with potential and existing customers to establish strong working relationships and promote the quality of Verizon Wireless SMB products and services.
* Manage SMB presentations and summits.
* Execute sales strategies and take part in the selling process by establishing strategic relationships with potential and existing customers.
* Work with Retail and Business sales team and potential clients on contract negotiations.
* Manage the overall operations and budget for the SMB channel. Define processes for SMB operations.
* Manage operating budget. Analyze reports/sales results, and develop action plans designed to increase sales productivity.
* Analyze reports/sales results as well as market conditions and develop action plans designed to increase sales productivity.
* Define processes for SMB in retail channel options as well as special projects as assigned including system and process enhancements to effectively and efficiently manage business.
* Analyze data sales results and market conditions to recommend opportunities for growth, review tracking reports and stay continuously updated on SMB sales results.
* Recommend strategies to channel leads to develop growth opportunities within sales channels for SMB products and services to grow market share and increase ARPU.
* Maintain knowledge of company and market promotional elements.
* Remain current on all wireless products and services, industry and competitive trends, and reinforce findings with the team.
* Provide strategic direction for SMB across retail. Develop, grow and manage small business pillars to find niche opportunities to grow this segment.
* Manage and grow existing customer base and manage churn. Develop customer retention tools.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with other channels to analyze issues that impact SMB Sales, and recommend, develop, and implement process improvements.
* Resolve customer complaints in a timely and friendly manner.
* Act as bridge between retail and business leadership to foster good working relationships and to increase activations through business handoff leads.
* Foster leadership qualities in SMB team to achieve high performance results. Responsible for management, staffing and operations.
* Make decisions regarding hiring, promotion and disciplinary actions.
* Coach, train and motivate the team to achieve key performance objectives. Interview and hire a high-performing sales team.
* Support employee development and take action to improve performance.

**What were looking for...**
You'll need to have:
* This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager
* Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Six or more years of relevant work experience.
* Six or more years of sales management experience including staff development, preferably in a cellular/telecommunications industry.
* Two or more years of sales experience in wireless data.
* Willingness to travel.
* Valid driver's license.
* Experience managing large regional territories, budgets, and operations.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
* Masters degree.
* Managed a sales team. Ideally, developed, and motivated a team.
* Experience designing, proposing, selling, and contracting for complex technical solutions.
* Led a geographically dispersed team.
* Juggled multiple large scale projects, sales, and negotiations.
* Business to Business sales experience.
* Conducted complex scale projects, and presented to large groups.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between **$126,400 and $234,800** based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a **commission** based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
