TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER
to join our well-established team of dedicated professionals in Oregon/SW Washington. We are working on premier transportation projects throughout the West and are proud to have an established relationship with a range of clients providing us the opportunity to support and enhance the communities in which we live and work.
Ideally, this position will be based in Portland. We have a new office location and are excited about connecting a couple days each week for project, client, and team collaboration. We offer work/life balance and remote flexibility.
This position will focus on pursuit, leadership, and delivery for transportation projects. In our Oregon/Idaho region, Parametrix is leading some of the most complex and interesting transportation projects to be found in Oregon, SW Washington, and Idaho. We're looking for the right person to join our region and continue shaping our practice, with emphasis on major roadway projects, high-capacity transit corridor investments, and active transportation work.
Who you are:
Dedicated & Experienced : You have your BSCE, PE and 10+ years of engineering experience related to transportation and roadway design for municipal, state highways, and the interstate system. Currently have or the ability to obtain your Oregon Professional Engineer license.
Knowledgeable : Previous experience providing support for local agencies, ODOT, WSDOT or other state transportation projects and familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD and FHWA standards. Design experience with multidisciplinary projects focused on local roads, highways, freeways, interchanges, intersections, and roundabouts.
Skilled in Project Management:
Demonstrated experience and success in managing, implementing, and delivering complex projects as well as developing client relationships within transportation services. Proven history of strong client relationships in Oregon/SW Washington preferred. Assist in marketing, positioning for future projects, responding to RFPs, client interviews, and negotiating scopes and budgets.
Relationship-focused : Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, standout colleague and you thrive on developing rapport with others to maintain quality delivery while mentoring less-experienced staff. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You care deeply about delivering for your clients and your quality work reflects this. The transportation team works hard and is looking for someone to support them as they effectively deliver projects. You are self-motivated, but also thrive in a team environment. You enjoy a variety of challenging projects and, work environments.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $145,000-$175,000+ . Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program. We are transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure and the value of being an employee-owner.
