The scrum master is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of ServiceNow projects and ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The scrum master is responsible for managing and delivering IT and business solutions using Safe Agile framework best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities Monitor Scrum process and meetings to increase team efficiency, advocate for self-organization and encourage problem-solving

Facilitate and organize Scrum ceremonies

Assemble and coordinate project staff

Plan and schedule project timelines

Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

Conduct accurate capacity planning

Guide, coach, and motivate the team, leading by example, to increase productivity

Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals, and deliverables that support business goals

Create a team environment that is open, non-judgmental, and trustworthy, while emphasizing problem-solving

Protect the scrum team from outside interference during a sprint

Remove impediments or guide the team on how to remove impediments

Assess team maturity and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace

Report on team progress each sprint through defined metrics

Communicate effectively within the scrum team and to business stakeholders, improve transparency

Partner with the product owner, business analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the scrum team focus is on the highest business value

Assist product owner, business analysts, and other team members in refining backlog and ensuring a steady stream of work is available for the team

Act as liaison between clients and delivery teams, making sure that projects are successful and that teams are enabled to deliver with excellence

Participate in project estimation sessions with the technical and business stakeholders

May perform traditional project management on non-scrum projects

Executing backlog grooming and PI planning readiness and ceremonies

Requirements & Skills ServiceNow product knowledge in CMDB/APM and SAM/HAM required

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Business (or equivalent work experience)

Experience working with a software development team that is diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory

Understanding of SDLC and software development processes

Knowledge of patterns and practices for facilitation of scrum teams
