This **Equipment** **Service Manager** role is located in **Stockton, CA** This role is responsible for managing a team of Service Technicians and the Service function as well as to provide excellent customer service experiences and maintain strong relations with manufacturers, suppliers, and sales representatives. As such, you must be a positive, energetic leader who excels in working in a collaborative environment. **Position Summary**
**Responsibilities**
* Manage the hiring, development and training of Service Technicians and resources necessary to perform the functions of the department
* Oversee all services and designated workspaces in the warehouse
* Consistently deliver excellent customer service experiences by offering knowledge, advice, and answering questions and concerns
* Manage excellent vendor relationships by providing timely communications, problem solving, and site visits to key suppliers when necessary
* Coordinate with VP of Sales and Sales Representatives to provide excellent customer support
* Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
* Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
* Produce timely and detailed service reports
* Ensure Technical Service Team is provided product repair, technical support knowledge and continuous training
* Monitor work procedures, work schedules, and expedite workflow
* Monitor service calls to observe employee's demeanor, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies.
* Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of Technical Services team.
**Qualifications & Required Competencies**
* A minimum 3-5 years of experience in machinery and conveyor equipment experience is required, high school diploma or its equivalent is required
* Must be people-oriented with the ability to build business relationships
* Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required
* Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, Allen Bradley PLCs, smartphones, and tablets
* The ability to lead, train, and supervise all service technicians is necessary
* 25% to 50% of travel required
* Dependable transportation required and proof of insurance
* Management and Vocational training is very beneficial
* Familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround time on service calls
* Analytical, problem solving, business analysis and project management skills
