Morgan Hartman doesn’t realize it, but her ability to smile through physical and cognitive special needs spurred her parents – Gordon and Maggie Hartman – to do things never before accomplished for individuals with special needs and their families. Morgan inspired the creation of a one-of-a-kind theme park and other initiatives benefiting the inclusive community.
When it celebrated its grand opening on April 10, 2010, Morgan’s Wonderland became the world’s first theme park designed with individuals with special needs in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment. Fast-forward 10+ years and Morgan’s now includes five fully-inclusive, Ultra-Accessible facilities where individuals of all ages and all abilities can come together for recreation and a better understanding of one another.
Morgan’s Inspiration Island – Water Park composed of five splash pads and a sensory-friendly boat ride.
Morgan’s Camp - a camp for everyone with a particular emphasis on giving people with physical and developmental disabilities an opportunity to enjoy summer-camp-type activities alongside guests without special needs.
Morgan’s Sports – a place where everyone can play sports! Includes a 3-acre Ultra-Accessible sports center offers fitness and fun for athletes of all ages and all abilities.
Morgan’s Multi-Assistance Center (MAC) - a center that improves the lives of individuals with disabilities and special needs through comprehensive and coordinated services. Morgan’s MAC’s services use a family-centered approach with full collaboration from the family.

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER…
Morgan’s is seeking a visionary and driven individual to join their Executive Leadership Team as Chief Development Officer. This individual will report directly to Dr. Brent Fields, CEO and serve alongside the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer in a shared services model, supporting the President and their teams for each Morgan’s facility. Partner with the CEO to revitalize development and fundraising strategy. This unique opportunity will encourage creativity, retaining and introducing new best practices to secure funding for this fast growing enterprise
Work to support all facilities in bridging the gap in funds that allows all those with a disability free access to all that Morgan’s has to offer
Foster local and regional foundation relationships, individual and corporate donors; while at the same time identifying national and international prospects to take Development at Morgan’s to a whole new level
Contribute to the continued explosive growth of Morgan’s by playing a pivotal role in expanding corporate sponsorships on the global stage
Lead a committed Development Team of 3
Ensure compliance oversight of governmental funds
BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS… Seasoned Fundraising professional with solid national relationships with a variety of funding sources
Alignment to the mission of Morgan, with a track record of serving the same audience or ability to demonstrate why this is an organization they are compelled to serve
Proven experience building a planned giving initiative from ground up, track record of building unique large scale campaigns that drive results
Executive level experience in Corporate Giving, Health Care, Foundation or Academic Settings
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred
Reside in San Antonio, Texas or willing to relocate
