Position Information

As an Oil and Gas Master Data Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the company's master data sets related to oil and gas operations. Your role will involve maintaining and updating critical data in systems, supporting data governance processes, and collaborating with various departments to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards. Your work will be pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management: Maintain, validate, and update master data related to supply and marketing and distribution in the company's IT systems.

Data Quality Control: Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data across systems.

Data Governance: Support the development and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT, operations, finance, and other departments to address data-related issues, gather requirements for data maintenance, and support the integration of master data across business processes.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze master data for discrepancies, trends, and insights; generate reports to support business operations, audits, and compliance activities.

Project Management: Participate in or lead projects related to data migration, system upgrades, and the implementation of data management tools and technologies.

Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation related to master data processes; provide training and support to users on data standards, procedures, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and systems; recommend and implement enhancements to increase data quality and operational efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

Strong understanding of master data principles, data governance practices, and data quality management.

Proficient in database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, SAP, RightAngle).

Knowledge of oil and gas operations, terminology, and data standards.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on working effectively across different functional teams.
