Bicycle Health addresses this gap by maximizing accessibility, affordability, and overall quality of care by enabling highly qualified clinicians to reach patients broadly and efficiently through our online platform.
The Accounting Manager plays a key role in the Finance organization ensuring the smooth operation of day to day accounting and finance activities. They also manage and review the month end close process and recommend appropriate policies and procedures to ensure a robust internal controls environment. The Manager, Accounting is responsible for financial reporting, ensuring appropriate parties receive relevant financial statements and reports on a timely basis. This position analyzes complex account activity and proposes solutions for simplification. The Manager, Accounting works closely with multiple departments to provide financial information to aid in decision making.

Schedule: Full time (40 hrs)
Target Pay Range: $110,000 - 119,000 - Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

You can expect to:
Lead the monthly close process on an end-to-end basis, ensuring the quality and timeliness of close by:
Ensuring all reconciliations have been completed and reviewed. '
Reviewing departmental expense classifications.
Assisting with financial reporting as needed.
Analyzing complex account activity and processes and making recommendations for improvements to simplify and streamline operations.
Complete period to period fluctuation analysis versus internal projections.
Manage cash balances ensuring appropriate funds across accounts to fund daily operations.
Optimize internal control environment by creating processes and procedures including: procurement guidelines, vendor management, treasury management, signatory authority, fixed assets, etc.
Assist in efforts to evaluate existing systems to ensure streamlined processes and automation.
Manage the Contract Management platform for the organization. Facilitate renewals and constantly evaluate justification of contracts with external parties.
Ensure compliance with MSA amongst entities.
Manage external tax accountants to ensure state and federal tax compliance:
Payroll tax compliance
Income Tax
Sales & Use Tax
Manage and monitor all insurance policies across the organization including but not limited to Malpractice, General Liability, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, D&O, etc.
Ensure appropriate business registrations are filed on a timely basis.
Special projects and ad hoc analyses.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualities we're looking for:
Minimum of 6 years progressive accounting experience.
BA/BS in Accounting; CPA preferred.
Working knowledge of US GAAP.
Knowledge of Healthcare accounting preferred.
Experience and comfort working with and analyzing large data sets.
Experience and comfort working with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools preferred.
Possess excellent analytical skills, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills.
Able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work autonomously and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic and team player.
Experience working in Netsuite, Bill.com, and G-Suite.
Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.
This is a full-time (40hrs per week) remote position.
