Role Overview
SK Capital is seeking a highly qualified Compliance and Legal Analyst with at least 1 year of experience to support the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. The Compliance and Legal Analyst will support SK Capital in a variety of matters, including regulatory compliance, internal corporate governance, fund formation and fundraising, investment activities, as well as interactions with portfolio companies. There is room for growth for high performers and SK Capital grows. This role will be based out of New York.
Primary Role Responsibilities
Contribute to compliance matters for registered investment advisers, including, but not limited to: Code of Ethics Administration, AML/KYC documentation, assistance with reviews by external consultants, managing relationship with outsources services provider, maintaining the Compliance Calendar and coordinate tasks with relevant SK team members
Work with outside counsel as well as service providers globally to set up, manage and dissolve multi-jurisdictional fund and investment structures
Coordinate execution of legal documents
Assist General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer with corporate secretarial matters for internal entities
Oversee document management and recordkeeping process
General corporate work, including correspondence
Work closely with investor relations/marketing team on fundraising, investor inquiries and responses and related matters
Experience & Expertise

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum one year of regulatory compliance experience at a financial institution or transactional, litigation, or compliance paralegal or similar experience at a major law firm
Excellent computer skills required; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and important stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and recognize importance of demands given by team
Ability to multi‐task when given time sensitive projects
Strong sense of professionalism and work ethic
Discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
General understanding of the finance industry preferred
Notary Public license from NY County a plus. If not already licensed, candidate will be required to obtain a license soon after the start of employment

The base salary range for this position at the time of posting is $85k-100k. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
