Position Summary:

The Training and Education Supervisor will provide supervision to staff members on the Training and Education Team and collaborate cross systems to develop new training initiatives and respond to emerging needs. The Training and Education Supervisor will act as the senior Learning Management System administrator. They will also develop content for in-person and virtual training opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Support and partner with divisions and units across DBHIDS to address emerging training needs through workforce consultation, identifying performance gaps, needs assessment, mapping of training frameworks, dissemination of resources, training development, proposal writing, and contracting with external trainers. Ensure alignment, coordination and integration around all education and training efforts across the organization

Implement the DBHIDS Learning Hub, a Learning Management System (LMS) for DBHIDS employees (1300) and the provider network (15,000) to support training, compliance and tracking needs across the system

Act as Senior Learning Management System Administrator for the DBHIDS Learning Hub

Meet regularly with current LMS Developers to discuss system improvement and functionality

Provide technical assistance to learners of the DBHIDS Learning Hub

Create content and facilitate training for remote learning opportunities

Design and implement comprehensive training plans to address the professional needs of DBHIDS staff, behavioral health staff and administration and community members at large

Lead the development of training, technical assistance and workforce development programs for stakeholders

Provide regular supervision to staff members on Training and Education Unit

Conduct pilot review cycles of eLearning courses

Work with PowerPoint, Visio, Articulate Storyline 3 and other graphic shareware (i.e.Adobe Suite) to create multimedia content

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills Required :

Proficient in adult education

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of authoring tool (i.e. Articulate Storyline) is strongly recommended

Proficiency in working with a Learning Management System required

Demonstrate commitment and passion for learning and technology

Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, writing and editing skills

Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, high energy and flexibility

Attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Culturally competent and eager to work in a diverse work environment

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required! Masters preferred in behavioral health-related field required.

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in behavioral health field and adult education.

Minimum two (2) years experience in Learning Management System administration

Minimum one (1) year experience working in a training, education or communications environment is desired
