Key Account Director (KAD) Mountain West - WA, OR, MY, ID, WY, UT, CO, AZ, NM

Position Summary

TheKey Account Director __Regionwillsupportthedemandenablement at the ATC network levelwith the goal of increasing classshare, and Kite brandshare, for the designated territory. They willpartner withcross-functionalpartners (e.g., market access, marketing teams) todevelopand implement access strategies andvaluepropositions for our oncology products tomaximizeproduct potential andpatientaccess.

The KAD is a field-based role and will report to the SeniorMarketplace Director.

The key external stakeholders for this role are ATCleadershipC-Suite (CEO, CFO, CBO), VP Finance, VP Clinical Ops, CAR TServiceLine Lead, Outreach Coordinator, Inpatient Directors / Enrollers,PatientAccess Manager and the Reimbursement Team.

KeyResponsibilities(include but are not limited to):

DemandEnablement

Enabledemandwithin ATC network (ATC, Satellite network andcommunityasneeded) ecosystem with Cell Therapy Account Manager as an advisor.

Ensure financial and reimbursement sureness and communicate payer coverage with ATC. Educate ATC around reimbursement, coverage and coding.

Provide ongoing education of Key Stakeholders within the ATCs on approval pathway post-certification. Provide best practices to ensure smooth registration and ensure they have theinfrastructureand resources necessary to secure appropriate coverage for Kite therapies.

Conduct strategic partnership discussions withorganizationleadership(C-level stakeholders)focused onCAR T andpatientcareopportunities.

Createpatientpathways across the ATC ecosystem through strategic partnerships.

Partner on system identification of potential patients for CAR T evaluation andhelpcreateinto protocols where possible toinfluencereferral network creation.

Engageleadershipstakeholders on cell therapyserviceline, including financialsustainabilityof CAR T Therapy and expansion of CAR T capacity.

Coordinate withcross-functionalfield team partners (e.g., Marketplace Directors, Cell Therapy Account Managers (CTAM’s), and the Quality team) to optimize swiftpatientaccess withinsharedATC by:

Collaboratingwith multiple field-based teams, to ensuresuccessfulcertification and ongoingsupportof ATCs.

Educating Key Stakeholders within the ATCs on approval pathway. Provide best practices to ensure smooth registration and ensure they have thetoolsand resources necessary to secure appropriate coverage for Kite therapies.

Ensuring timelyfollow throughof Trade agreements and amendments, as well as the completion of the Distributor’s Terms and Conditions.

AccountEngagement

Engageregionalleadershipand senior stakeholders atindividualATCs to strengthen ATC relations anddrivedemandenablement, with a focus on growing class-share.

Conduct strategic partnership discussions withorganizationalleadership, including CFO, Administration, and key formularydecisionmakersfocused onCAR T, onpatientcareopportunities, financialsustainabilityof CAR T therapy, and Kite Products.

Developand deliver on defined account plan tosupportkeydecision-makers across the assigned accounts and promote CAR T at target accounts working closely with Cell Therapy Account Managers and other internal partners in territory and region.

Engagewith outreach coordinators within ATC tosupportATC outreach efforts andpatientpull-through.

Identify opportunities to improve intake process to bolster pull-through of ATConboardingexecutionand coordinate with CTAM onexecution.

Contributeto the account profile for each assigned account, including keepingsalesforceupdated, and identification of key influencers anddecision-makers.

Implement and monitor ongoing contracts.

Buildand maintain senior stakeholderrelationshipat ATCs and act as a main point of contact for the ATC ecosystem, including C-suite stakeholders.

Where applicable,shareknowledge of expanded networks to appropriate internal stakeholders andcollaboratewithcross-functionalstakeholders by identifying andsharingbest practices forcustomerengagement.

Regularly communicate the reimbursement landscape to ATCs to ensure theyunderstandand plan for potential impact to their ATC and CAR T markets. This includes CAR Tserviceline viability, policy, legislation, payer classmanagement, and advocacy.

StrategyExecution

Successfullydevelopandexecutethe commercialstrategyfor Kite Account teams by meeting the key priorities at territory level. Make updates to account plans when market conditionschange.

Align strategies with other operational functions (Medical, Sales, and Marketing) tosupporta combinedcustomerengagementstrategyas well as appropriate product access and coverage for Kite portfolio.

ATC Expansion

Leaddemandenablement at new ATCs byengagingwith ATCleadersand senior stakeholders within their region duringonboardingprocess.

Assist in theonboardingof new ATCs with the ATCOnboardingDirector:

Supporteducation of key stakeholders within ATCs on approval pathways.

Supporttimelyimplementationof trade agreements and amendments, and completion of Distributor’s Terms & Conditions.

3rd Party payor access and contracting:

Coordinate withValue& Access Team. Initiate contracts, both reactive andproactive.

Legal/Regulatory

Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies at all times.Protectpersonal identifier data of patients.

Basic Qualifications

Advanced scientific degree (i.e., MD, PharmD, PhD) and 8+yearsof experience OR

Master’s Degree and 10+yearsof experience OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 12+yearsof experience OR

High School Degree and 16+yearsof experience

Preferred Qualifications

7+yearsof related oncology-CAR T experience in the pharmaceutical industry/sales/salesmanagementwith current or most recent experience in CAR T therapies.

Previousaccount management/managed markets experience with 2yearsof experience in acorporate/region/national/key account role includingDirectAccess, Payer, orhealthsystem experience.

Experience managingcustomerrelationshipsin Oncology or CAR T therapies. Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace oncology launch experiencerequired.

Previousaccount management/managed markets experience as well as delivering and executing physician network, GPO contracting, andaccount managementstrategic plans.

Excellentinterpersonal skills, oral and writtencommunication, as well as outstanding presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear, concise message.

Extensiveproject managementskills, ability to multi-task and prioritize clear deliverables across multiplecustomersin tight timelines.

Self-motivated, withexcellentorganizationalskills, with the ability to work bothindependentlyand as a member of a matrixleadership team.

Exceptionalnegotiation skills, business acumen, andproblem-solvingability. Ability to inspire,guide, persuade, and lead without authority.

The salary range for this position is: $195,245.00 - $252,670.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
