Shape the development of our community through effective statutory town planning
About the role
Reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Planning, you will be responsible for providing
customer-focused assessments on planning applications. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our customers assessing development applications, reviewing and referring subdivision applications and clearances, managing liquor licensing applications and reviewing Local Planning Policies.
A snapshot of your new role:
Providing customers with accurate and timely advice on town planning and property matters
Assessing and processing applications for development approval
Providing advice on the City’s town planning schemes
Drafting responses to Council’s Elected Members and other government authorities
How you will thrive in this role:
Tertiary Town Planning qualification (completed or nearly complete)
Sound knowledge of town planning requirements, legislation and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well-developed ability to work with customers and negotiate solutions
Strong technical skills including use of Microsoft Office suite and modern software programs

$85,570.29 - $96,065.01 per annum + super
