JOB SUMMARY:
Vir Biotechnology is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Human Resources (HR) Team. You will enable the HR Leaders and their team members to work more effectively, and will play an important role in the success of our team. You bring demonstrated experience handling heavy calendaring with scheduling priorities for multiple leaders. As an integral member of our HR team, you will help organize and bring visibility to cross-functional initiatives utilizing your attention to detail and project management skills. You bring a high degree of professionalism, focus and flexibility is required, as well as the willingness to play a pro-active, behind-the-scenes role. Absolute discretion is a must, combined with resourcefulness, reliability and strong emotional intelligence. You will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
This role is located in San Francisco at our corporate office, with flexibility around days in office (2-3 days expected).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinates events/meetings for our HR leaders and their teams
Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality given the business-critical nature of the work
Logistical support for sub-team, HR Leadership, and department meetings/events (prepare agendas, slides, warm-up activities, gather new hire info, physical logistics for in-person meetings)
Track and support key HR projects and initiatives across the function
Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the HR Intranet SharePoint Site
Plan team events, help onboard new team members, and organize birthdays, anniversaries, and care packages as needed
Enter and Track Purchase Orders/ Statement of Work (SOW)
Keep all HR distribution lists, calendars and Teams channels up to date.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures
Participate in ad hoc Administrative Assistant meetings or working groups at the broader corporate level
Serve as onsite host for interviews to ensure an exceptional candidate experience
Other projects and special assignments as delegated
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum B.S./B.A
3 - 5+ years' experience supporting a large team within a fast-paced environment
Experience within pharma/ biotech industry is desired
Outlook, Sharepoint, and Zoom experience is required
Concur expense reporting experience extremely helpful
Demonstrated passion for personal development and aptitude to take on new and challenging assignments and growth opportunities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consistently shift focus and reprioritize tasks
Ability to work independently, be committed to the role and team and be available after hours and/or on weekends if needed
Solid experience handling heavy calendaring with multiple scheduling priorities, coordinating and setting up meetings, and ensuring Executives are at planned activities on time

The expected salary range for this position is $116,500.00 to $170,500.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
