**Job Summary**
Detail oriented and dedicated to managing the service activity for our company and handling customer service interactions, reports, and repairs where applicable around the service and support of our products. Responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service, developing lasting customer relationships, and managing the service partners. The service manager is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the companys products and services.
**General Accountabilities**
* Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects related to service, and managing the service partner relationships to ensure that company objectives are achieved.
* Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers.
* Assist with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating invoices, processing new orders, and tracking inventory.
* Work with our service partner and customer service team to identify part needs. This can include reviewing drawings and industry failure rates to determine the quantities of parts needed for new products.
* Identify and document defect trends and provide relevant documentation to support these trends in an actionable way.
* Provide monthly reports on service activity and regular updates on projects
* Maintain department budgets
* Resolving service desk problems and improving service methods to increase the service partners productivity and customer service.
* Resolving customer service challenges and system issues to improve the rate of first-time resolution for customer service contacts.
* Monitoring department issues and customer complaints to created methods to reduce recurring issues.
* Auditing service calls and customer service interactions to ensure the company is being represented effectively and efficiently.
* Identify ways to reduce costs, returns, and refunds without compromising the customer service or product quality.
* Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws while ensuring the companys adherence to these same regulations.
**Skills**
* A bachelors degree
* Previous experience in management, service and/or customer service
* A minimum of 5 years experience in the appliance industry
o Knowledge of at least 2 different appliance categories preferred
* Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access
* Experience with SAP and CRM systems preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Comfortable with phone and email communication
