Salary for Announcement
We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $49,900 -$55,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will beset based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internalequity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonableestimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) assists students who aremigratory or seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers) enrolledin their first year of undergraduate studies at Metropolitan State Universityof Denver.
This position will provide educational, personal, and financial servicesto student participants using one-on-one coaching, workshops, and eventsin an effort to increase first-year retention and second-year persistence.This is in accordance with the U.S. Department of Education, Office ofMigrant Education. This position will refer students to other on-and-offcampus services to serve identified needs. The Assistant Director will workcollaboratively with the CAMP Director to maintain necessary documents forsignature, databases, and other communication necessities. In the absenceof the Director of CAMP, the Assistant Director will oversee day-to-dayoperations of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities
50% - Student Advising and Academic CoachingMeet monthly withCAMPscholars within the academic year to set educationalgoals and determine their personal and financial needs.ReferCAMPScholars to appropriate resources, course selection, academicadvisers, programs, resources, tutors, and/or counselors.AssistCAMPScholars with scholarship efforts to increase students'scholarship dollars for the following academic year.Create performance reports to identify students who are at risk of not meetingsatisfactory academic progress.Track and maintain records of student performance data for the AnnualPerformance Report (APR).Support student persistence ofCAMPcompleters.
35% - Student Staff SupervisionCollaborate with CAMP team on the student staff hiring process which includesjob posting, recruitment, interviews, and on-boarding.Serve as the task supervisor for graduate interns in the Masters of SocialProgram at MSU Denver.Supervise 3-5 undergraduate peer mentors.Oversee student staff training and development curriculum.
10% - Collaboration & PartnershipsMaintain direct communication with appropriate scholar resources such asAcademic Advisors, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Registrar's,tutoring resources, and other student engagement and wellness offices thatwill support the needs of our scholars.Collaborate in on-going and/or new initiatives across campus that help meetour program goals.Collaborate with the CAMP team to plan and coordinate student engagementopportunities that promote student personal development and promotes theiracademic success.Serve on committees across campus as needed
5% - Other Duties as AssignedAssume any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the CAMP DirectorAttend/Engage with HEP/CAMP professional development conferences and meetings
