Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the Senior category expert for an assigned portfolio of products and services related to digital healthcare for internal and external stakeholders. You will manage a competitive contract portfolio by driving the strategy and development of the agreements to help providers elevate cost performance and achieve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of contracts for digital technologies.
Develop a deep understanding of the products, suppliers, and industry trends that impact the portfolio through market research, attendance at industry events, and continuous learning opportunities.
Provide expertise to providers, suppliers, Vizient field team, advisory solutions, legal, finance, and other internal and external stakeholders regarding the spend categories managed.
Support provider strategic sourcing engagements by providing category leadership and expert insights for assigned portfolio to drive and optimize spend management.
Partner with Vizient marketing to produce category marketing approaches for providers and suppliers that align with the overall marketing strategy.
Create category-specific collateral to share insights, expertise, and best practices with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead periodic business reviews and strategic planning meetings with suppliers for categories in the portfolio, with support from leadership.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans to measure contract performance against category objectives.
Identify and fill gaps in the portfolio with suppliers or categories not on national agreement by presenting the value Vizient can bring to their organizations, where applicable.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in healthcare, public health and/or pre-med preferred.
5 or more years of healthcare strategy consulting relevant experience required.
Expertise or working knowledge of medical digital technologies or digital technologies in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
Strategic sourcing or category management experience related to digital technologies in a healthcare environment preferred.
Ability to develop content and present category knowledge in front of both large and small audiences.
Must be financially savvy in working with expense and revenue budgets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
$88,900.00 - $132,250.00 This position is also incentive eligible.
