Overview: We are seeking an experienced hybrid professional to combine roles in Account Management and New Business Development, focusing on our key public sector clients within California. This role involves not only nurturing existing client relationships but also seeking out and developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large accounts, developing new businesses, and understanding the complex needs of public sector organizations in California.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Foster trusted partnerships through exceptional service delivery and effective communication.

Become the subject matter expert on relevant state/local regulations, processes, and buying cycles to strategically position our technology solutions.

Develop comprehensive account plans to systematically increase revenue, mindshare, and customer satisfaction.

Proactively manage contract renewals, scope expansions, and sourcing events to maximize retention and growth.

Serve as the executive sponsor on critical client initiatives, coordinating resources to ensure successful outcomes.

New Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the California public sector.

Construct compelling business cases, proposals, and presentations to capture new opportunities.

Leverage extensive knowledge of California state and local government policies and procurement vehicles to enhance business growth.

Network extensively to build and maintain relationships with potential clients and industry stakeholders.

Requirements: Minimum 5 years of combined experience in business development, sales, and account management, preferably in technology/cloud computing.

Proven track record of selling technology cloud solutions to public sector entities.

Familiarity with California state and local government operations, policies, and procurement processes.

Previous experience at a consulting firm or as a public sector technology provider preferred.

Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.

Strong adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
